Pick a vertical with a clear repetitive problem (real estate, legal, healthcare, e-commerce). Build an agent that solves that specific problem. Charge $29–$299/month per seat.

NB: the supply-demand gap on Upwork for AI agent skills is real. a profile with 3 completed projects and 5-star reviews will get inbound leads. this is still early enough that being 3 months in makes you experienced relative to most candidates.
4. AI agent consulting for enterprises
Mid-size companies (50–500 employees) are allocating budgets to AI automation but don’t have internal expertise. They hire consultants at $150–$300/hour to assess workflows, identify automation opportunities, and implement agents.
